1. Lesson Booking and Payments

To reschedule a lesson you must give at least 48h notice. (Intensive courses cannot be rescheduled)
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full. (Intensive courses cannot be rescheduled)
Payment must be made by bank transfer no later than 48h before the lesson unless agreed otherwise. Failure to make the payment in time may result in a cancelled charged lesson.
Lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
Payment for lessons must be made in full before the lesson begins.
Payments are non-refundable and can only be used as credit.
Any credit is valid for six months from the date of payment and will expire thereafter.
By booking a lesson, you agree to the fees outlined on our website.
The pickup location will be the address provided unless agreed otherwise
The payment for block bookings must be made in full at least 48h before the first lesson.

2. Punctuality

If the student is late, the lesson time will not be extended.
The instructor will wait 10 minutes after the lesson start time. If the student is absent after this time the lesson will be terminated without refund unless agreed otherwise.
If the instructor is late, the missed time will be added to the lesson or rescheduled.
In the unlikely event of the instructor cancelling the lesson will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity.

3. Driving eligibility

Students must be at least 17 years old to participate in lessons.
Students must hold a valid provisional driving license and carry it during lessons.
Students must be physically and mentally fit to drive (e.g., not under the influence of the drugs or alcohol).If a student is is unfit to drive the lesson will be terminated without refund.
Students must inform the instructor if any points have been received on their license.
If the student requires glasses they must be worn at all times during lessons.
The instructor reserves the right to terminate a lesson if the student is unfit to drive.
Students must be able to read a standard vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 meters. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the lesson being cancelled without a refund.
The check code, license number and full address should be provided as soon as possible but must be provided at least 72 hours before the lesson unless agreed otherwise. If there are issues with these details contact us as soon as possible.

4. Vehicle Use

The instructor’s car is fully insured for driving lessons and driving test.
The student must notify the instructor of any medical conditions or other factors that may affect their ability to drive.
Use of car for the driving test must be agreed with instructor beforehand, please check availability with instructor before booking test.
We reserve the right to deny the use of the vehicle for the test if the student is deemed not adequately prepared.
In the unlikely event of cancelling the day of test we cannot be held liable for any arising losses.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Single lessons cancelled by the student with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
All payments made are non-refundable unless agreed otherwise.

6. Test Preparation and Booking

The instructor will advise on readiness for a driving test but cannot guarantee a pass.
The student is responsible for booking their driving test unless agreed otherwise.
The instructor reserves the right to refuse use of car for the test if the student is not up to the required standard.
The test date must fit the availability of the instructor.
A practical driving test cannot be booked unless the theory test has been passed within the last 2 years. If you have purchased a fast track test this cannot be booked unless you have passed your theory test in the last 2 years.
We cannot guarantee a time frame for the fast track test.
The customer is unable to select specific dates or times for the fast track driving test.
Once a fast track test is booked this cannot be cancelled or rescheduled.
If the student has a driving test booked they must inform the instructor at the earliest opportunity. We cannot guarantee that we can reserve the slot but will make the best effort to accommodate for this.
The payment for use of car for the driving test must be made a full calendar week before the test.
The test centre we cover is Banbury test centre. It may also be possible to cover Oxford and Aylesbury however this must be discussed beforehand.

7. Liability

The instructor is not liable for any fines, penalties, or legal issues resulting from the student’s actions outside lesson times.
The driver is liable for any accident they are involved in. We will not charge for any damages provided the student is following instructions.
As the driver, students are liable for any fines or penalties received if they were the driver at the time. The instructor willl try to prevent this.

8. Code of Conduct

Both parties are expected to behave respectfully at all times.
Any form of abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour will result in the immediate termination of lessons without refund.

9. Agreement

By booking a lesson, the student agrees to these terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.

10. Intensive Courses

By booking an intensive driving course, you agree to pay the full course fee in advance. Payment must be received before the course begins.
50% of the total payment for the course must be paid upon booking the other 50% must be paid at least 48h before the course begins.
Failure to make the payment at least 48h in advance for the remaining payment of the course will result in cancellation of the course without refund for any payments that have been made.
Due to the nature of our intensive courses, all bookings are final and cannot be rescheduled or refunded once confirmed. Please ensure you are available on the scheduled dates before booking. Any cancelled lessons by the student within the course will be lost.
We will make every effort to ensure an instructor is available for your scheduled course. However, in the unlikely event of instructor illness or other unforeseen circumstances we reserve the right to cancel some/all of the course, we will notify you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative.
Once you are adequately prepared for the test, we will book your fast-track driving test for the earliest available date that fits the instructor.
Fast track test dates and times cannot be chosen by the student . Any cancellations for the fast track test will result in loss of the fee.
If, upon assessment, the instructor determines that you are not yet fully prepared for the test, additional training will be required before the car is allowed to be used on the test. This will ensure that you meet the necessary driving standards for a successful test.
Completion of a course does not guarantee a passing result on the test.
We cannot guarantee a test pass however we can advise on readiness.
If you opt to use your own car for the test and book your own test, you will not be charged the fee for the car hire or test booking services provided by us. However, all other course fees for lessons and instruction still apply.

11. Copyright Terms & Conditions

All materials provided during lessons, including written content, videos, and other resources, are protected by copyright and remain the exclusive property of Bicester Driving School.

Any unauthorized copying, distribution, reproduction, or use of these materials for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from Bicester Driving School.
Students may use the provided materials solely for personal, non-commercial use in connection with their lessons.
Any breach of these copyright terms may result in the immediate termination of services and potential legal action.
Our vehicles may be fitted with a dash cam for insurance purposes. This does not record audio and faces outwards.
